How to add favorite web sites to iPhone, iPad home screen

I often like to add specific web sites to the home screen of my iPhone or iPad for convenience. Many times, it’s been for a hockey tournament, so that I can quickly access scores and tournament information. Other times it’s for easy access to a conference agenda. It sure beats having to look it up each and every time. These examples last for only a few days to which I then delete the page. But I’m sure you have sites that you frequent often to which this shortcut would be useful. Just the other day I helped a friend add her children’s team hockey pages to her phone so that she can always look up practice and game schedules in a jiffy. This is so easy to do and here’s how.
1) Navigate to the webpage you would like to add to your home screen.
2) Tap on the outgoing arrow at the bottom centre of the screen. Several icons will now appear.

3) Tap on the “Add to Home Screen” icon.

4) Tap the “Add” button at the top right corner of the screen. Rename if you so wish.

Your webpage has now been added.
To delete, the process is the same as deleting apps from your device. Simply hold down on the icon until all the icons are wiggling, then tap the “x” and now that page is gone. This process is the same on the iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.
